"use disabled in a sentence"

Funny how I asked one of my students that like days ago. And now I have the perfect answer for it:

"I'm disabled."

I can barely walk. The left part of my lower torso is aching like hell every time I move. And I mean EACH and EVERY TIME.

And it has to happen when I'm supposed to work again every single day for a month. Work = commuting for like 3 hours a day every day, inhaling the toxic fumes of the doomed building, and being all nice to CRL, plus stressing about stupid articles/seminars/whatever.

I guess it's the Universe's way of telling me that I'm not really meant to work again. At least not yet. But there's a part of me that wants to do it. I feel like I owe it to the Markets Group (to a certain extent) to help them with the most important event ever when they don't have staff anymore. :P Seriously, they should just dissolve Markets for fudge's sake. Anyway, it's just going to be for 30 days. I don't think it would do that much harm. BUT if my BP starts to shoot up again, I have to say byebye Markets again. Screw the project and the contract! To make life is way MORE important than to make a living!

Ah I hope Giann never sees me when I leave every day for work. I don't want to see him cry.

Alrighty I need to rest now.

God I don't think I'll get used to this sleeping-early-because-I-have-work-early-morn-tomorrow routine.

It's just going to be for a month. It's going to be a breeze. It's going to be over before you know it.

P.S. It's funny how I'm back working for The Firm again and I still haven't received my last pay yet. Good job, good job! But I guess Gill's right when she said, "forgive them Yeng, they have one too many resignees claiming their last pays!"

pregnancy woes

I'm guessing I have urinary tract infection. I will know tomorrow morning because the laboratory won't release the result until 11 PM tonight so good luck with that.

But I've been annoyingly, weirdly cold since yesterday afternoon, after munching on homemade fries. Like muscle-freezing cold! And my back hurts. And I feel terrible. If you really know me you'd know that I rarely feel cold. Ate (and even Pau agrees) that I've the skin of a carabao! Haha. Like everyone around me is like dying of cold and I'm like, "what is it cold?!" I say I'm made for the finer things like that! *flipshair*

Anyway, tomorrow I will go back to the lab again, visit the ever loving *cough* CRL, go to Jigu (what a funny name, never fails to make Gill laugh!) to know if I can now start with my home-based teaching stint and go see my OB for yet another check-up.

One thing about pregnancy is that it will force you to be okay with hospitals, if not entirely enjoy it. I hated the smell of hospitals for as long I can remember until I got pregnant with Giann and ergo was obliged to visit my OB's clinic once a month, sometimes even twice or thrice and on the 8th month onwards, every week!

But you gotta give it to St. Luke's, its rooms have the ambience similar to that of a hotel's. Even Pau can't complain. :) So yes, we travel that FAR just for check-up! Plus the fact that I love my OB-Gyne and Giann's pedia. They're the bestest! It's shameless marketing right there, I know. :P

nothing, really

I can't believe I've been sick for more than a month now. It's not funny. I just got home from the pulmo and he gave me 3 more meds! Way to make me more groggy.

Stupid doomed building. IT made me sick. I just know it.

Prinsesita has left her home of more than 2 years. I transferred her to a new place with a heavy heart. But Bonechewer has got nothing more for her. It already gave her the best. :) Of course she will always love Bonechewer, after all, it's where she met the Australians she'll always remember, hate and love - Altor, Axlfooie, my "favourite brother" Kempachi, Spiritmonger, Xorxor (and his bazillion other Xors) and of course, Nyter. Bonechewer also gave me friends, who in the process of playing WoW everyday turned into real life friends I enjoy hanging out with - some of them even became Giann's godfathers!

I left Taft Tower. Prinsesita left Bonechewer. But our homes will always be what we left behind.

I love how when I'm with Pau everything is easy. Like I have the answer to all his problems. How different when I'm Yeng the Markets Officer or Yeng the graduate student where everything is just... hard and complicated - where answers aren't as simple as "then just do whatever makes you happy!"

Pau's concerns are different. I wouldn't really call them unimportant as they ARE essential to him. It's just that his main problems are about simple things - like WoW. I mean how hard and complicated can that be, yeah? After all, it's just a game. And games are supposed to be fun. So when it ceases to be fun, then you know something's wrong. It's simple logic. You don't have to know Nietzsche and Heidegger and Baudrillard to arrive to a conclusion about those problems.

I love how I feel like I'm such a wise woman with Pau. I love how he heeds my advice and actually takes them seriously. And I love how opinionated he is when it comes to WoW. You should know how passive Pau is on almost everything about life. But he turns into this oh-so-passionate-and-active man when the topic at hand has something to do with WoW! It's something I love and hate. But it's something I have to live with so I've learnt to accept it.

Yesterday was unbelievably okay. The COO did not bite my head off. My boss was surprisingly on my side; and a little testimony from Gill then I was redeemed. It's not like I'm the ONLY one to blame anyways. But I'm sure Tax peeps still want to cut me to pieces! All I can say: staff is NOT synonymous to client. They're just totally different. Enough said.

I didn't get ANY sleep last night. Stupid Meralco decided to cut our electricity from 11:30 PM to 6:30 AM. I had to fan Giann to sleep the entire time. I'm not kidding. The ENTIRE time. I wanted to take refuge in a hotel again but Pau didn't want to drive at 2:30 AM. He's too sleepy.

I'm so sick that every time I talk to Pau he's like, "umiiyak ka ba?" And each and every time I would look at him as if he's gone crazy, "why would I cry?"

There's nothing to cry about.

I'm done with crying.

Until I dream again. Which thank God has not happened since... eons ago. Well, okay that's a lie. But who cares.

There are hearsays that there will be massive blackout in San Pedro again! From 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM AGAIN.

Why the hell do they (Meralco) have to do whatever it is they will do when I'm sick? :( And need to wake up early and should be all better tomorrow. I hate you Meralco. May you burn in hell. Okay, maybe not. But I hate you still.

So I've been home since 3 PM (*wavesatHana!* :P) I asked to be relieved of work early because I'm SUFFERING from the worst migraine ever. Since last night. :( No drug can pacify it, I'm afraid. And CRL would only make it bazillion times worse so yeah.
